The challenge for firms is to get the right data to the right people at
the right time in the right format.
Dynamics allows the users to easily
extract and use data in the tools they are comfortable with. Part of
the basic Dynamics system, Smartlist allows the users to filter and
sort the data and move to Excel or Word seamlessly. In addition to basic
Smartlist objects, Smartlist Builder extends this ability both within Dynamics
and outside Dynamics to any SQL database. DTM can assist in the writing
of these objects and in training the user in the development and deployment
of these tools.
SQL Reporting Services (SRS) supports Dynamics allowing the creation of presentation quality information to the end user. Graphs and sub reports are available in SRS that allow the most compelling view of the data. These functions are supported from Microsoft and by using the ODBC connectivity can be deployed to any user in the organization. Deployment of reports is supported using a web browser for clientless implementation. Dynamics comes with over 90 reports that can used or modified as required.
Supplementary
Financial Reports is a DTM produced data warehouse for Dynamics based
sales and distribution data. Using MS SQL it can apply business rules
to the data and allow users to run many reports on a timely basis.
It can be deployed across multiple companies to provide aggregate sales
and cost information between databases. Effective in the reporting of sales
territory and salesperson data, it can be easily maintained to streamline
commission and other reporting issues.
Analysis Cubes for Excel allow the
users to use predefined OLAP cubes and create reports using Excel. These
cubes cover the financial and distributions data for the Dynamics system.
Once the cube is created, the user can then use Excel to create reports and
pivot tables to further analyze the data.
